Cooking and Foods Class

foods class gives the students of ACSS the opportunity too learn to cook and explore weather they even like cooking in the first place.

This class the student learn all sorts about food and other cultures.it allows people to learn about their diets, cheaper tasty foods. foods especially makes the average student safer in the kitchen all together, teaching them about cross contamination, learning to chop and cut properly and little things like how to sharpen a knife.

Foods class also gives the student the chance to try foods they normally wouldn't try or make food from other cultures or origins that they might have never tried. Such as sushi, or Miso soup.

assignment 13: Lest we forget

Remembrance day is a very important day, possibly one of the most important celebrations we hold as a culture. unlike most holidays we are honoring people who fought for our freedom and gave their own lives rather then celebrating over a mythological person or superstitious legend. remembrance day is just about remembering, realizing and acknowledge that people who had families, friends and happy lives gave that up so we could have the same thing. would you give up everything you have for the chance that someone else might get it back one day? not many would. remembrance day also goes by other names such as armistice day and poppy day, on November 11th and 11th hour (11,11,11) the first world war finally ended and we have taken the time out of our day, on that day and time for each year to remember the soldiers who fought and gave their live for Canada to be free.

Shot and paralyzed in a "poorly planned mission" in Sadr city, Iraq according to Young. Paralyzed from the waist down young began campaigning against the war for the way the mission was planned and how risky the scenario was to save him.

Assinment 11: Halloween "what does it MEEN"

Also known as Hallowe'en, Allhallowe'en, All Hallows' Eve, All Saints' Eve. The story of Halloween has many different versions. according to Wikipedia, many scholars have decided that what we know as Halloween started as a christian feast, influenced by catholic festival and other cultures. But according to Wikipedia Other scholars believe that Halloween is only from christian roots, that Halloween is the evening before the christian holy day of all All Hallows' day. meaning they celebrate the day/evening before all the souls that haven't made it to heaven yet complete their trip to heaven. hence the, "walking dead" and "ghost" theme is so popular because it is the day before the dead rise traditionally according to the scholars that Wikipedia got their information from.
